Add a password to your Enshrouded server so random players cannot join. A password is currently the only way to keep an Enshrouded server private.
¶ Before you start
- An Enshrouded server with Gravel Host. No server yet? Get one here
- The password you want players to use.
¶ Steps
- Log in to the Gravel Host Panel.
- Stop the server.
- Open the Startup tab.
- Find the Server Password section.
- Enter a new password in the field.
- Start the server.
- Connect to the server. The game now asks for the password before you can join.
¶ Check it worked
Anyone joining the server is asked for the password and can only get in by entering it.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ Players can still join without a password
The new password only applies after a restart. Stop the server, check the Server Password field on the Startup tab, then start the server again.
