Add mods to your ARK: Survival Ascended server in a few clicks with the panel's mod browser, or by pasting mod IDs. Running ARK: Survival Evolved? Use How to Add Mods to Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server instead.
¶ Before you start
- An ARK: Survival Ascended server with Gravel Host. No server yet? Get one here
- The names or IDs of the mods you want. ARK: Survival Ascended mods are hosted on CurseForge.
¶ Steps
¶ Option 1: The panel's mod browser (recommended)
- In the panel, open the Mods page from the left sidebar.
- Search for the mod you want.
- Click Install on the mod.
- Restart the server.
¶ Option 2: Add mods by ID
- Find the mod you want on CurseForge. Awesome SpyGlass is a popular example.
- Copy the mod's Project ID from its page.
- In the panel, open Startup and paste the ID into the mods field. For several mods, separate the IDs with commas and no spaces, for example
123456,234567.
- Save, then restart the server. The server downloads the mods as it starts.
¶ Check it worked
Join the server. The game asks you to download the server's mods before you load in.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ The server will not start after adding a mod
Remove the last mod you added and restart. The mod may be out of date or not built for dedicated servers.
¶ Some mods do not load
Check the mods field. IDs must be separated by commas, with no spaces and no comma at the end.
