Add mods to your ARK: Survival Evolved server in a few clicks with the panel's mod browser, or by pasting Steam Workshop IDs. Running ARK: Survival Ascended? Use How to Add Mods to Your ARK: Survival Ascended Server instead.
¶ Before you start
- An ARK: Survival Evolved server with Gravel Host. No server yet? Get one here
- The names or Workshop IDs of the mods you want. ARK: Survival Evolved mods are hosted on the Steam Workshop.
¶ Steps
¶ Option 1: The panel's mod browser (recommended)
- In the Gravel Host game panel, open the Mods section under Management.
- Search for the mod you want in the search tab.
- Select the mod and click Install.
¶ Option 2: Add mods by Workshop ID
- Find the mod you want on the Steam Workshop. Awesome SpyGlass is a popular example.
- Open the mod's Steam Workshop page in your web browser and copy the ID from the end of the URL.
- In the panel, open the Startup tab and paste the Workshop ID into the mods field. For several mods, separate the IDs with commas and no spaces, for example
123456,234567.
- Save, then restart the server. The server installs the mods as it starts.
¶ Check it worked
Join the server. The game asks you to download the server's mods before you load in.
¶ Troubleshooting
¶ Some mods do not load
Check the mods field on the Startup tab. IDs must be separated by commas, with no spaces and no comma at the end.
